Here, there and everywhere

There’s no missing Julie Anne San Jose on screen and on playlists in the next months

If you think collaborative works from Julie Anne San Jose have reached the limit, well, it’s not so.

The singer revealed in a recent interview that after her duet with Rico Blanco on “Isang Gabi,” she will team up with other artists – some of whom are “icons” in Philippine music industry—for her upcoming album.

“Hindi ko lang pa po masabi kung sino-sino kahit kating-kati na akong sabihin,” she said. “I will be collaborating with different producers din po and I’m really excited.”

Julie Anne explained why the follow-up to her eponymous CD released in 2016 has taken this long in seeing the light of day.

“May mga delays po kasi na nangyari. Siyempre gusto po natin na something new ang ibigay natin sa mga audience. Hindi basta minadali. So we made sure everything falls into place before kami nag-decide na mag-record.”

Apart from a new album, Julie Anne will soon be back on “a different kind of TV show.” The actress-singer’s last teleserye was “My Guitar Princess” aired in 2018.

She’s excited to finally apply the acting techniques she learned from internationally-acclaimed New York-based coach Anthony Vincent Bova.

“I can’t reveal the details pa po eh. This is something na I’ve done in the past but it will be different in terms of the approach, the characterization… something na bago rin po para sa’kin.”

Perfect avenue

Julie Anne is part of GMA’s weekend musical comedy variety show “All Out Sundays” wherein she works with the likes of “The Clash” Champions Golden Cañedo and Jeremiah Tiangco.

“I’m really happy for them kasi hindi rin naman talaga biro ‘yung journey nila, ‘yung pinagdaanan nila sa competition. Ngayon na kasama ko na sila, I’m really proud of them. They deserve the spotlight talaga,” she noted.

The 25-year-old is happy the show helps new artists unleash their other talents.

“The show is a perfect avenue kung saan made-develop ‘yung skills nila. Kasi hindi lang naman sila kumakanta dito eh, may mga sayaw and skits din. So madi-discover ‘yung other talents nila.”

All okay

For the nth time, Julie Anne stressed all is well between her and Maine Mendoza.

Recall that some fans bashed the singer-actress online for supposedly being friends with Alden Richards, with whom Maine was paired before.

“Wala naman po kasi kami talagang problem ni Maine. Meron lang po talagang iba na hindi matanggap na pwede rin naman makipag-work sa iba ‘yung mga idols nila. Ako po kasi palagi ko sinasabi na I’m just doing my job,” she said.

On the Sunday noontime show, Julie Anne does production numbers with Alden. Although some overzealous AlDub fans are not happy with it, she is thankful to those who support them.

“Palagi ko po sinasabi na I’m open to work with anyone. So whatever I and Alden do on stage is just part of our job as artists,” he said.

Following her busy showbiz schedules, does Julie Anne still have time for other things like going to the gym?

Julie Anne is considered one the sexiest GMA talents, given her 22-inch waistline.

It turns out, she hasn’t been working out lately.

“Busy po talaga eh kasi araw-araw nagtatrabaho. Happy na lang din po ako na na-maintain ko ito (her body) ng ganito (slim and sexy),” she said.
