Julie Anne is preparing for a big surprise

It was a wise decision for Julie Anne San Jose to give a hundred percent to her career. Just full concentration and no distractions, letting nothing affect her focus on her projects, ergo, no love life.

And now, everything is happily working out for Julie Anne in the biz.

She even has a new endorsement as the face of Shinagawa Lasix and Aesthetics Center where Showbuzz caught up with her. And indeed, Julie Anne can’t ask for more.

To start with, “All-Out Sundays (AOS),” which she headlines with Alden Richards is on top of the ratings game as the No. 1 Sunday noontime show in the country, based on Neilsen Ratings.

“I’m so happy that since Day 1, we’ve been getting such great support from televiewers. Sinusundan talaga ng mga tao and I think it’s because the show is a complete entertainment package. We offer very good musical numbers — whether singing man yan o sayaw, we work hard for it.

“Besides the musical numbers, we have our comedy segment, called ‘Tap Sikret,’ na talagang nakaka-aliw,” she added proudly.

Julie Anne also has nothing but praise for her fellow artists in AOS, from Glaiza de Castro to Cacai Bautista, and Derrick Monasterio to Paolo Contis and Betong.

“Even our young stars na sina Kim De Leon and Lexi Gonzales are good at everything. So talagang masarap silang panoorin,” she added.

She is all the more impressed how the new singers in the show get to perform with more veteran performers like Christian Bautista, Mark Bautista and Aicelle Santos.

“Sobrang ipinagmamalaki namin ‘yung new singers namin because we witnessed their journey. Hindi rin talaga biro ‘yung mga pinagdaanan nila sa The Clash.”

Most of all, she enjoys having production numbers with Alden, which she never got to do in AOS’ forerunner “Sunday Pinasaya.”

“Although we were both in the previous program too, magka-iba kami ng mga segments. I’m just thankful that we can do so many different numbers together now, and natutuwa ako that there are those who give their all-out support. Meron din namang haters and bashers but I just don’t mind them. Ako naman, trabaho ito. I’m always give my 100 percent,” Julie noted.

Amid all her current projects — mostly to do with music — Julie Anne admits she misses acting.

“I really miss it,” she reiterated. “Actually, I have been doing acting workshops. I did one under Anthony Bova when he came here. Now I’m carrying on with Anna Feleo.

“I’ve been wanting to do acting projects and I’ve also been open about it,” she continued. “Thankfully, my management actually just closed a deal and yes! I’m making an acting comeback,” she excitedly revealed.

Details to this acting project will remain a surprise for her fans for the time being. “I’m not yet allowed to say anything except that I can’t wait to use everything that I’ve learned from the workshops that I took.”
