In fact her Superbass cover has one of the highest clicks, not to mention her onstage chemistry with hottie Elmo Magalona. Performance-wise, I dare say that Julie Anne is the most talented singer this side of television. Given the right breaks  a movie and an album is in the works she can reach megastar levels of stardom. GMA, your move.

Manila – Former ABS-CBN journalist and CNN Anchor Veronica Pedrosa and Youtube sensation Julie Anne San Jose are on the worldwide list in Women Leaders’ Top 10 Women to Watch.

Women to watch from other countries are American politician Gabrielle Giffords, Japanese virtual popstar Hatsune Miku, Indonesian CEO Karen Agustiawan, Taiwanese popstar Ella Chen, Malaysian professional squash player Nicol David, Korean popstar Dara of 2NE1, Indian chocolate artisan Mayavee Khandelwal and UK singer Birdy.

MANILA, Philippines – Notwithstanding her multiple talents— singing, dancing, acting, and playing instruments such as piano, guitar, and drums—Julie Anne San Jose admits she wants to be able to write her own songs.

“Frustrated composer ako,” she told Bulletin Entertainment in an interview at the Ultimate Schick Look 2011 Grand Finals held last Nov. 25.

Julie Anne related that she’s tried writing songs before but they “didn’t work out kasi I can’t find the perfect melody and lyrics.” She also has a pile of lyrics already, but deems that “’yung mga thoughts ko, hindi sila settled, parang kalat-kalat...”

Her schedule is also packed these days that she apparently couldn’t squeeze in time for songwriting. In fact, she has stopped for one semester at Angelicum College (where she’s a sophomore) because of her workload.

“Halos araw-araw kaming umaalis ng bahay—tapings, rehearsals, tapos taping ulit—so hindi talaga kaya. Gusto ko nga po sana before mag-try ng kahit isang subject man lang para man lang makausad ako pero ayun, sa sobrang tight ng schedule hindi na ko nakahanap ng time makapag-enroll,” she recalled with a hearty laugh.
